A Million Faces
Prezence South Africa has launched a novel online and mobi platform for the South African supergroup, Watershed, in celebration of their forthcoming 10-year anniversary hits album.
Fans can upload their photograph to www.amillionfaces.co.za via web or mobi, together with their most poignant 'Watershed' moment to have their photo featured on the cover of the band's new album, A Million Faces, to be launched appropriately in 2010.
According to Prezence South Africa CEO, Tim Bishop: "The band wanted a platform which enabled them to engage with their fans, whilst allowing the fans to participate and be an actual ingredient of this significant landmark album. The aim is to get a million fans from around the world to upload their photos and memories onto the mobi or online site. The amillionfaces.co.za campaign is being promoted at all of the band's own concerts, on social networks and fan pages, as well as through a broad digital marketing campaign managed by Prezence. Viral marketing will of course also play a large part in driving fans to the portal."
Fans who participate will not only have their photograph feature on the album cover and sleeve, but will also stand a chance of winning some magnificent prizes with the first prize being: two R5000 EMI CD hampers for the winner and a friend; a Watershed VIP card which grants access for two people to all their own shows in 2010; framed and signed Watershed presentation edition of A Million Faces: 20 Hits 10 Years; as well as the opportunity to meet the band over a lunch, dinner, or picnic.
