EntertainmentAfrica.mobi
EntertainmentAfrica.com is South Africa's largest site in terms of entertainment content. It boasts a massive repository of editorial, audio and video content and has a throughput of over 50 new stories and editorial pieces a day. Covering all things music, movies, games, gadgets and events, the site represents the definitive guide to SA and worldwide entertainment.
As a complex monster in the web space, but with mobile becoming the medium of choice for SA, Prezence was tasked with deploying the complete site without any loss of features into the mobile space.
Using Prezence's latest developments in handset recognition and content adaptation, the EntertainmentAfrica.com site was carefully designed and built to ensure the perfect user experience and the ability to drill down to any one of the hundreds of thousands of pieces of content in just a few clicks on a handset.
The mobi site adapts itself on the fly to deliver content and image sizes to fit the browsing handset perfectly and also displays perfectly on 'smart' and 'iPhones'. With permanent jump-point navigation and number-key shortcuts, the emphasis was placed firmly on 'extreme functionality' even on the smallest of handsets.
One of the biggest mobi sites in the world (in terms of amount of content), EntertainmentAfrica.mobi has raised the bar for mobile portal development in South Africa.
